What's Happening (v. 7) - July 5th

Here's the scoop...

The Album: HOME
Can you believe it's been over a month since my last visit to Texas to record nearly half the album? With plans to return to finish up recording this September/October, I can barely sit still!

In the meantime, there's been some great traction! Receiving a nomination from American Songwriting Awards for the song (on theupcoming album) LONG RIDE and continuing to work with video and podcast producer Jennie Lake from Thousand Face Media, there are some pretty exciting sponsorship and endorsement opportunities on the horizon - get ready!

WWW.TERAJOHNSON.COM - Well, we know it's looking good when there's been a sold out item! (check out a 3x5 magnet - LOVE YOUR LIFE). There's still plenty of stickers though (BORN AGAIN MUSICIAN) and some new merch on the horizon so stay tuned...

FROM THE VAULT - NO LESS ONLY MORE was a song written back in my college days - 2001 if memory serves me right. Playing with all different effects on Pro-Tools and working with our session players we were able to write, record and mix this number in about 4-5 hours (so probably around 2am-3am).

THE OTHER SIDE - I'VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN is a favorite Cole Porter song I couldn't get out of my head in a fast-tempo, Charlie Parker-inspired arrangement. I fondly recall Jonah Minton, the sax player on this tune really showing off his chops...
