What's Happening (v. 11) - January 9th
The Song of the Year songwriting contest has awarded Tera Johnson the Runner Up placement for BEAUTY AIN'T. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top songwriters receive a Runner Up placement in the songwriting competition.

Happy [Belated] New Year folks! It's been a crazy holiday season so I've been slacking on keeping you up to date what's been going on, but no fear, your wait is nearly over...
The Album: HOME
In t-minus 12 days my final trip to Texas for recording phase three is happening. With the three last lead tracks and last minute clean ups, we're excited to say this release might actually drop before baby #3 does!
In the meantime, I've been working on a separate lyrics book to share with you songwriting lovers about the meaning, inspiration and story behind each of the songs on this album. It's definitely a labor of love, so I hope when the album drops you'll consider adding the book as well.
"And what about those music videos," some of you are asking. Well, I'm working on that too. We've got a couple ideas brewing and are hoping to share something with you after this next trip, so sit tight!
Before I forget, the Song of The Year Runner Up Award you see was another exciting news piece. When I submitted the song BEAUTY AIN'T (on the upcoming album), I figured we'd see where it fell in the spectrum of songwriting appreciation nods. Looks like we're on the right track...

FROM THE VAULT - I TALK TO ANGELS was a Black Crows cover of their classic SHE TALKS TO ANGELS but from the point of view of the troubled woman herself. It's slower and with piano instead of guitar, but I must say, it took a lot to keep from adding it to the album...Enjoy!
